I grew up in Austria, in a typical middle-class family. My mother was a stay-at-home Mum as was common in those days and looked after us two very well. But I knew she wasn’t happy and very early on picked up an all-pervading sense of unhappiness and unfulfilment from her. My mother had beautiful talents like painting and playing the accordion which she enjoyed in the early days but quickly stopped and never took up again. She would play those activities down and brush it off when I asked her about rekindling her gifts. Nonetheless I felt her dissatisfaction  keenly as it resulted in a considerable amount of negativity and underlying blame stories in our household. As a result of my mother’s insecurities and distrust of others I never had friends round and a part of me grew up believing the world was a dangerous place and others were to be distrusted.

I didn’t realise it then but this sparked and embedded in me a strong desire to live life differently. Independently. With curiosity. Giving others the benefit of the doubt. Open minded. Tolerant. Exploring and cultivating many interests. Free from any fears.

Leaving my convential upbringing behind, I moved to the UK in my early Twenties and began exploring various careers places as well as relishing meeting people from all walks of life and cultures.

10 years ago I went on a personal development quest – I had come so far since I left home, I wanted to help others become their best selves. My journey of growth began. It is a continuous discovery and I am loving every minute of it!

Today I live happily in a rural part of South West Engand, UK with my long term partner. I have changed into a balanced, contented and grounded individual. Loving and loved. Free from many blocks that held me back in my teenage and early adult years. Open to embracing this wonderful adventure called life. I feel secure in the knowledge that we were all born with unique gifts and talents and the right to express ourselves fully.
